ACTRESS and presenter Relebogile Mabotja has landed a permanent gig on Talk Radio 702 after almost two years of filling in for other presenters on several night shows.

As of tomorrow, the multitalented Mabotja will host the station s early breakfast show.

Mabotja, who is also a singer and producer, will be on the airwaves from 3am to 6am.

She says she is delighted about her new job because her parents used to listen to the station when she was growing up.

I am very excited because it s like a dream come true, not just for me but for my parents as well,” she says.

Her interest in radio began when her fans suggested she could be good on radio.

I thought let me give it a shot and I definitely wanted to do talk (radio) because I wanted to say more and have bigger conversations.”

Mabotja says she has always been drawn to the station because it does talk radio better than anyone else.

I like that they can talk about anything live current affairs, politics and lifestyle. So there is something for everyone, she says.

She promises her listeners a fun way of starting the day.

Station manager Thabisile Mbete is convinced that the bubbly Mabotja will bring her keen interest in social dynamics to the fore as she engages with the listeners.
