SOCCER supremo Jomo Sono became a Chuck Norris this week when his own vehicle tracking company helped trace and recover his son s stolen sports car.

The Jomo Cosmos owner became the latest crime victim when daring tsotsis chased after his son Matsilele Junior until he got to the family home in Houghton, north of Joburg.

The three armed men, according to police sources, tailgated Sono s son when he reached his family mansion and then robbed him of his Ford ST, which they used to load items they stole after ransacking the house.

They looted the house and stole a box of jewellery, among other items.

The alleged incident happened on Thursday afternoon when the soccer boss was not home.

Police said one of the suspects was arrested in Mapetla, Soweto, after the car was traced through a tracker administered by Sono s tracking company SafeSky Africa.

Spokesman Lungelo Dlamini confirmed that a case of robbery and theft was opened at Norwood police station by the soccer boss.

Two boxes of jewellery and a car were stolen, and the suspect who was found in possession of a vehicle is detained at Norwood.

He will appear at the Johannesburg Magistrate s court on Monday, said Dlamini.

Dlamini said the value of the jewellery was unknown.

Sono confirmed that his son s car was stolen at his house in Houghton but said he was not aware the robbers left him blingless.

I was not at home when the incident happened but it appears that the guys were following my son because they wanted the car he was driving. But they were caught within four hours in Soweto while they were trying to remove the tracker, said Sono.
