The friends and business partners met while attending Edenglen High School in Kempton Park, east of Joburg. They also happen to be from the same Kempton Park suburb of Croydon. Kabelo is a marketing student at the University of Johannesburg and Marcus is studying architecture at Wits.

Kabelo and I used to wear different socks in high school as it was one of the items that were discreet and we were trying to escape uniformity.

Their sock collection forms part of the New Balance Tastemakers Campaign, a year-long partnership that celebrates people who are making waves with their creativity.

Their socks are offered with every pair of New Balance bought at Online stores, Xtrend and Superbalist. The unisex socks retail at R170 a pair.

I then find visual metaphors for my concepts and draw and draw and draw. I then come up with a simplified image of the artwork, that then becomes the sock design.”
