NOMZAMO ROCKED THE MAMAS
SHWA scooped an invite to hang out with top celebrities as MTV announced the nominees for the upcoming MTV Africa Awards.
The who’s who of the industry flocked to the historical Constitution Hill in Braamfontein, Jozi, to witness the nominations.
Shwa feels some folks were just there for the free vodka... just nje!
Most of them made an effort to look fashionable while others need their celebrities status recalled for what Shwa considers public indecency – attending a red carpet event looking like a gardener.
Methinks they must have received the unofficial memo with the theme “look like a hobo”.
One of those was Buji Bikwa, who looked like he came in straight out of a mealie harvesting session.
Shwa was shocked to see the confident Bikwa grace the red carpet... geen skaam! If I were you, I would have given it a miss, hun.
Then there was rapper Nadia Nakai, who rocked up looking like she was going for a stroll. She wore black shorts that left nothing to the imagination.
We know you have booty for days but Shwa feels like you are now forcing it down our throats. There ’ s only one Babes Wodumo, lovey!
Comedian Mashabela Galane was also a joke; he looked like a village shepherd, he had to be dragged off the red carpet as he was blocking those worthy of being photographed. His comedian chommie David Kau also looked like a tramp who gatecrashed. Afro-pop singers Nathi and Vusinova kept the bromance burning, the duo arrived together in almost matching outfits. Ever thought of taking the bromance to the next level, boys? Shwa thinks you would make a cute couple. Think about it. Oh by the way that Noma Kanjani performance you delivered was awesome. Toll A$$ Mo represented the comedians well, he wore a vintage jumpsuit, although it looked a little warm for Mzansi, Shwa liked it. The comedian brought his wife who also wore a white jumpsuit ...they had me screaming #relationshipgoals. Shwa is proud to announce that Cassper made an effort this time around in an all-black outfit that made his new body look even hotter. Yes, the brother finally decided to hit the gym, and those biceps are looking perky. Shwa wishes the same could be said about Kwesta, who looked ordinary, it must be the ngudus. Kuli Chana hit the red carpet like he was Chuck Norris, all hyped up. Shwa enjoyed his performance. Nomzamo Mbatha, who was the host, lit the do with an African print gown that revealed a firm sexy thigh and cleavage. Goose bumps for Shwa. Khabonina Qubeka was spotted all sweaty, dancing seductively. It must have been the vodka. Her moves left everyone drooling. Also spotted were Durbanites, DJ Tira and Mampintsha, who got the nation furious with rumours that he has privatised the national key point that is Babes Wodumo. The Wololo hitmaker herself was all hyped up with her outrageous, colourful hairstyle. She looked ordinary but still she got everyone starstruck. The MAMAs will be hosted by Trevor Noah at the The Ticketpro Dome on October 22.
