OUR moegoe this week has to be President Jacob Zuma for gagging public protector Thuli Madonsela.

Zuma and Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Des van Rooyen launched court bids to stop Madonsela releasing her report on allegations of state capture by the Gupta family.

Their actions raise many questions and suspicions as to what they are trying to hide. We need transparent government for democracy to work. Public trust has been eroded.
