CONGRATULATIONS to Talk of the Town on your 20th anniversary. Sunshine Coast Tourism would like to thank the editor, management and staff of Talk of the Town for 20 years of providing a valuable service to the community of Ndlambe, especially for their ongoing support of tourism growth.

As a seaside resort, Ndlambe is reliant on tourism for sustainability and economic growth, and community newspaper, Talk of the Town, goes out of its way to promote special events and inform residents by providing a much-read newspaper along with social media coverage.

Special mention must be made of the diary section and the annual Sunshine Coast Holiday Guide produced as a free supplement over December, not to mention the splendid historical newspaper produced on the occasion of Port Alfred’s 125th anniversary.

These all add up to an extraordinary commitment to the community and to tourism growth. Important messages such as the coverage given to our new mayor’s introductory speech at our annual general meeting inspires confidence in the area as whole.

As a community, Thursday is much anticipated as “news day”, and discussions about the latest article in Talk of the Town are discussed by both locals and visitors alike.

We look forward to the next 20 years of exceptional community involvement.
