Halyards brekkie a treat

- ROB KNOWLES

FOR those of you unfamiliar with the Halyards breakfast menu, a treat is in store for you if you enjoy a fulfilling first meal of the day in beautiful surroundings.

As a special treat, Talk of the Town staff were invited to a free early morning breakfast at the Halyards by general manager Freddie du Preez and organised by Crystal and Justin Bester.

“It was such a treat,” said Times Media business manager Mauneen Charter.

“The spectacular views make breakfast so much more enjoyable.”

Jon Houzet, news editor for TotT said, “This is good value for money,” adding that, “the bacon was really nice”.

Cynthia Pase, who keeps the TotT office tidy and the staff hydrated, said she was very impressed, while admin clerk Noxi Blouw was in complete agreement.

Sales reps Bryan Smith and Mitch Haupt were equally impressed, with Smith saying he thought the morning was “superb”.

The Hansteins, Anneli and Hayden, who are responsible for the design of pages and advertisements for Times Media community newspapers, were also impressed.

“The breakfast was delicious,” said Hayden, while Anneli agreed, adding that the service was also excellent.

For R25, the budget breakfast includes a fried egg, two rashers of delicious bacon, a slice of fried tomato and two slices of toast. Making the breakfast even more enjoyable is a cup of coffee, also included in the price. Halyards also offers a buffet-style breakfast, as well as lunches and dinners to suit all tastes.

“It’s a great venue to hold our post-publication strategy breakfast,” said Charter.

“I think we might be making use of the Halyards again in the future.”
