They made parcels possible
I WOULD like to thank the following businesses for their generous donations towards the food parcels we made for the police members and traffic marshals who worked on January 1. Question: Tell us about your job.
Answer: I am the manager at Wharf Street Brew Pub. I make people happy; I put a big smile on everyone’s face.
Q: What made you get into that line of work?
A: It started when I was a young boy back home in Zimbabwe; the first child at home having to look after our visitors and it just carried on from there.
Q: Describe the most memorable experience that you have had in your line of work.
A: There is lots, but every day is a memorable day … it gets better when we receive guests who appreciate what we do.
Q: What do you do to unwind when you are not working?
A: I spend time with family and friends.
Q: What is your motto in life?
A: Make every day a better day to at least one person. Q: What makes you happy? A: Unity, everyone working together – irrespective of background, colour and gender. Q: What makes you angry? A: Ungratefulness.
With their donations, we were able to give a food parcel consisting of sandwiches, a peach, a packet of chips and a bottle of water to 65 workers who were unable to leave their posts. Without this help we
Q: What do you think about the youth of South Africa? Do you have any advice for them?
A: My advice to the youth is to work hard. Hard work always pays off.
Q: What do you like most about Port Alfred?
A: The fact that everything is close in proximity and the lack of traffic.
Q: If you could change one thing about Port Alfred . . .
A: Colour, the fact that people in this town differentiate between black and white. I would love for everyone to be a Port Alfred would not have been able to assist these people.

Q: What is your favourite music of all time?
A: Old school hip-hop – the likes of Jay Z, Tupac, Nas and Eminem.
Q: Name three people you would like to invite for dinner (dead or alive)? A: JFK and my parents. Q: Three wishes for South Africa?
A: Unity; secondly; I would love for young South Africans to realise the value of education and, lastly, let’s make SA greater than what it is.
