Bedford Country School Trail Run, March 25
A group of Kowie Striders took part in a fundraising festival of trail runs and mountain biking, which was held at the Mill Cricket Ground just outside Bedford.
Two trail runs, a 10km and 21.1km, were part of the events included in the weekend’s many festivities to raise funds for the Bedford Country School, International Eco-School. The most welcome rains of the previous day made for very wet and muddy trail routes in the neighbouring Kaga Mountain range but the scenic element was what most of the runners remembered most.
Despite arriving at the finish line looking more like Mud Run participants, the members made a festive time of their most enjoyable team outing! Lynette Harbrecht “slid” in to finish second in the 10km and Alex Weed bravely took on the challenge of the 21.1km trail route.
