PAHS request ‘to fill in the gaps’

- LAURA MILEHAM

I WOULD like to appeal to the wider Port Alfred community for assistance in filling the gaps in our archives in terms of the names of the head boy and head girl of Port Alfred High School, then known as Queen Alexandra Secondary School, for the years 1954-1956 and from 1957-1961.

This was while Ronald Victor Stewart held the office of headmaster. As far as our research reflects, the head prefects tended to also be the dux of the school during this era.

Any assistance, as well as photographs or old records pertaining to our 134-year-old school, is most welcome. Please contact me on (046) 624-2440 or via marketing@pahs.co.za.
