Thanks for help in PA exhibition

- NOLUTHANDO VITHI

ON BEHALF of the Phenomenal Women PA, a Christian organisation, based in Port Alfred with a vision to make a real difference in the life of others, we would like to thank everyone who formed part of our successful career exhibition in Jauka Hall, Port Alfred on April 25.

We had more than 200 pupils from high schools around the area attending, including Velile High School from Bathurst, Nomzamo High School and Kuyasa Combined from Port Alfred, Nompucuko High School from Marselle and Ikamva Lesizwe from Kenton-on-Sea. We wish to thank the principals of the schools for allowing us to have this programme as an offer to assist their pupils.

The purpose of the event was to broaden the scope of the pupils, in order for them to make informed career choices. This event is consistent with the vision that our organisation has in ensuring that the knowledge of young people in our communities/society is enhanced in order for them to be fruitful citizens of this country. Obviously, this cannot be a once-off occasion; we do hope for follow-ups to individual schools with higher learning institutions.

Special thanks and appreciation goes to Stenden and Walter Sisulu University for being part of the event, the speakers from department of education, Mrs Mgedezi, Mrs Ntanga and Adv Maggie Tserere from the National Prosecuting Authority. Last, but not least, we wish to thank the Rosehill SPAR and Pick n Pay managers for the donations for the event despite us giving them short notice.
