Release creative energy on home

- ... with Simon Oliver

I HAVE just got home from an exciting, week-long conference.

I learnt a lot about all sorts of topics and was inspired to try several new ideas in my business that will improve the service I offer our clients. I was force-fed technology and psychology, and met a lot of people in our organisation that I knew I could learn from.

It was a great period of renewal and inspiration.

While it was great to get home and see all the familiar people and things the business energy I got from the conference is going to be partially directed at my home. The first thing I saw was how much the garden benefitted from the lovely rain we had last week! The lawn will be cut and I am going to dive headlong into the veggie garden, which was the worse for wear after the long drought.

The next thing I am tackling is my workshop. I have allowed it to become “overgrown” with all sorts of rubbish that stop me from being creative – be it metal work or carpentry.

My equipment is going to be sharpened and aligned. The days of procrastination are over and I look forward to being creative in that space.

I share this story with you because sometimes we get familiar with our home, we are comfortable and we can tend to stagnate and live in a groove.

We sometimes need stimulation to stretch ourselves and try something new, fix something that has not been working for a while and then enjoy our homes even more.

It is great to have a sense of achievement and enjoying your home even more.

Please give me a call on 082-653-5643 or e-mail me on

if you would like to discuss how to get the most out of your home. I look forward to hearing from you.
