AT around 3am last Saturday morning, the MultiSecur­ity control room received a call from a resident requesting armed response to check the area as he saw some people arguing. A MultiSecur­ity reaction officer was informed and attended the scene. He reported that an intoxicate­d man had pepper sprayed some people. He also reported that the man involved had already left the area.

In North Street, a business owner reported a break-in in the early hours of Saturday morning. He requested that armed response keep an eye on the premises for the rest of the night as they were unable to get the door fixed at this time. The MultiSecur­ity reaction officer reported that the wooden front door had been forced open.

The suspects stole a camera recorder, a briefcase containing paperwork and the petty cash. The reaction officer also reported that the suspects left behind three laptops.

Last Thursday at Mentone Road, a resident reported a suspicious man shouting at the gate. She reported that he was wearing a blue tracksuit. The MultiSecur­ity reaction officer was informed and at the scene he found the man in French Street. The MultiSecur­ity reaction officer reported that the man was looking for food.

Late on Thursday evening a woman arrived at the MultiSecur­ity office and reported that her father, Patrick Nemani, was missing. She said she had already reported it to the SAPS but also wanted armed response to keep an eye out for him.

She said he was wearing blue jeans, a navy coloured tracksuit top with a beanie and tekkies.

A resident in Stewart Road reported strange noises coming from her backyard last Wednesday shortly before 10pm. She requested armed response who attended the premises but could not see anything suspicious.
