The trains may not be running, but, following on last year’s success, it is once again full steam ahead for a festive tea garden in the grounds of the Kowie Museum at the old station.

Join residents for a cup of tea or coffee and two eats for just R40 which includes entry to the museum. Enjoy the music and ambiegarden ambience with your family, friends and visitors; get a sense of the past as you walk along the platform and cross the rails where train engines once stood hissing out steam; and look for the new museum exhibits – such as an original settler ship’s compass belonging to the Berringer family, a ceremonial Wilkinson sword, South African Railways badges, furniture, crockery and even a train toilet!
