place at the moment and recognise that this is an important point, as water in the area is precious,” he said.

Golombick said he was pleased so many different customers used his facility; from car showrooms to automotive workshops, taxis and minibuses and, specifically, residents and visitors to town.

“We also clean boats.

“What most people don’t know is that we wash each car with just 340ml of water, a Coke can of water,” Golombick said.

“People also bring their boats on trailers and we wash those as well.”

In fact, Coastal Car Care is also mobile and able to bring its equipment to a customer’s premises.

“All our car-wash equipment is portable, so we visit Settlers Park once a week to wash the cars there,” he said.

“We also have special pensioner rates.”

But it is not just water savings that make Coastal Car Care a good choice.

There are several other benefits including not polluting the environment and the fact that the chemicals used also polish the vehicles.

“With the amount of salt air and water in the air at the coast, it is important to make sure your car is protected against rust.

“That is another reason to use our services,” Golombick said.

Coastal Car Care also provides a valet service to its customers, and for a nominal fee will also expertly clean the engine.

Just a week ago, Golombick had the entire area of the yard where the cars are cleaned tarred to eliminate mud puddles and dust, while also allowing easier access to the premises.

After dropping their cars off at Coastal Car Care, it is an easy walk into town for customers wanting to do so.

One can also sit in the pleasant log cabin and enjoy a cool drink or a coffee.
