Please help new Nemato preschool

- ROB KNOWLES

A new preschool is due to open in Port Alfred’s Nemato township in January and Bishop Caleb Mvandaba needs help with donations to assist getting it up and running.

Mvandaba and a delegation from his church, Christ Ambassador Ministries, attended two Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) workshops last year, including pre-school with ACE and Christi for reading readiness, and The ABCs with ACE and Christi, learning to read. This was what led to the decision to open a preschool.

Mvandaba said the pre-school will cater to the holistic wellbeing of the children, namely their spiritual, educational, social and cultural well-being. He quoted from Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way He should go, and when He is old He will not depart from it.”

“This programme edified the delegation who attended,” said Mvandaba. “Childhood, especially the toddler ages, is crucial when seeking to develop a child. At this stage a child should be brought up in a constructive manner catering to all their anatomical senses, to lay a solid foundation before teenage years. More so, we have the intention of starting our own preschool programme in January 2019 that will accommodate toddlers from 18 months to six-years-old.”

However, the preschool is short of tables, chairs, stationery and toys. Mvandaba is requesting anyone who can to make donations of any sort should help to enable the school to “get off the runway” to best help future generations.

“Help the little children [so that they can] change their communities for the betterment of society,” said Mvandaba.

If you can assist, please contact Christ Ambassador Ministries at 770 Runeli Drive or call Mvandaba on 072-671-3621 or 084-051-1214.
