Great vibe at Rotary E-Club Swim-a-thon

and swimmers. Laura Guest, head of marketing alumni and developmen­t at PAHS, expressed how it was such an honour for PAHS to take part in the event.

“Port Alfred High School is so proud to play a part in ending polio with Rotary Internatio­nal in such a fun and physically beneficial way,” Guest said.

There were two floating trophies for the winners – for under and above 13 years of age.

The results for the Under 13s: In third place was the PAHS yellow team with 76 laps, followed by the lilac team with 78 laps, and El Shaddai was in first place with 87 laps.

Then the 13-year-olds and older were as follows: In third place was the Lions Port Alfred with 101 laps, with EP Body Surfing in second place with 102 laps, and in first place – taking the trophy from the Lions team – was the PAHS purple team.
