Inspirational Insights by Pastor Theo Snyman

This year lies ahead of us filled with challenges and opportunities.

The grace of the Lord has brought us thus far, and His grace will surely be sufficient for whatever the future may hold. Although the unknown always seems daunting, Psalm 37:1-6 gives us reasons to face the future courageously.

“Trust in the Lord. ” Our trust is not in governments or men, but in God… the Creator of all heaven and earth. He is a loving, gracious, merciful and faithful God. Trust in Him with all your heart; He has promised never to leave nor to forsake you.

“And do good.” We need to learn what pleases the Lord and then implement it into our daily lives. Our moral standards should be based on the Word of God and not according to the pattern of this world. We should also strive to do good unto others. What a different world this would be if everyone’s motto would be, “Do to others as you would have them do to you”

( “Luke 6:31).

“Dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.” Many people have left SA for greener pastures, but we need to shine as lights in this world of darkness and be the salt that effectively curbs corruption.

Our prayer should be the same as that of Jesus: “My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one” (John 17:15).

“Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.” What a beautiful promise this is for those who serve Him wholeheartedly, lovingly and joyfully.

“Commit your way to the Lord.” When we do this, He amazingly makes our plans successful.
