A new season will come

- Pastor Theo Snyman

Spring is usually depicted as sunny and warm, with flowers blossoming and birds singing, but this year we entered the season with cold and very windy weather.

The earth will continue on its orbit around the sun and summer will come.

The "lockdown season" has resulted in an abnormality that we have never experienced before.

All the regulations required for our well-being have become part of our daily lives.

We are all longing for the season to pass so that we can return to normality once again.

It has been said that we are all in the same storm but not in the same boat.

The virus has affected us all, but how we have handled it and to what extent our lives have been affected differ one from the other.

We need to pray for those who have lost loved ones during this time.

Every promise in the Word of God is "yes" in Christ, therefore we can apply the promise made to Joshua to our own lives. It says, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go" ( Joshua 1:9).

We have no idea just how long the storm may continue, but a new season will dawn.

The Lord has neither left us nor forsaken us, He is with us, and His grace will ultimately be sufficient to see us through the storm victoriously.

The genuineness of our faith is tested when the heat is the hottest. Run this race with perseverance, looking unto Jesus as the author and perfecter of your faith.

May the new season come quickly, and may it be a glorious and fruitful one for all.
