TOURISM SPOT GETS A FACELIFT CRIME REPORT

On Monday July 11 at 11.05am Armed Response attended to an alarm signal and reported a positive breakin at Alfred Road. On the same day at 3.32am, Armed Response attended to an alarm signal and reported a positive break-in at Campbell Street.

On Tuesday July 12 at 12.55pm a client phoned in reporting tyres stolen off a vehicle in Mooifontei­n Road. Armed Response and SAPS attended to the theft.

On Wednesday July 13 at 3pm a client phoned in reporting taps stolen on site in Alfred Road. Armed Response attended the site and reported taps stolen and back window tampered with and the SAPS was informed. In the night shift at 6am, Armed Response attended to an alarm signal and reported a positive break-in at Sports Road.

On Thursday July 14 at 2.25pm a client phoned in reporting theft on site at Wiersma Road. Armed Response and the SAPS attended to the theft.

On Friday July 15 at 12.18pm Armed Response attended to a positive breakin at Putt Road.

On Saturday July 16 at 1.34pm, a client phoned in reporting a gate motor battery stolen at Caxton Lane and the SAPS was informed. On the same day at 5.35pm, Armed Response was requested when people were fighting by the premises of Nemato SPAR on Biscay Road. Armed Response and the SAPS attended. In the evening 6.19pm Armed Response attended to an alarm signal at Hallier Street and reported a positive break-in. On the same street at 7.17pm, Armed Response attended to an alarm signal and reported that a tap has been stolen on site and that water is running. The client was informed and water was stopped from running with the help of an armed response officer.

In the night shift at 7.30pm, Armed Response attended to an alarm signal at Van Der Riet Street. A positive break-in was reported and the SAPS was also informed. On the same evening at 8.25pm, a client phoned in reporting a vehicle broken into at Albany Road and Armed Response attended. At 8.55pm, a client phoned in reporting banging doors at Princess Avenue. Armed Response met with the client, who reported they went out and left windows open and when they got back they noticed missing items.

On Sunday July 17 at 8.30pm, the control room received a WhatsApp message reporting barking dogs at Curlew Crescent. Armed Response patrolled the area.
