Monday 6.30pm:Two suspects broke into motor vehicle in Campbell Street. Case opened with SAPS for investigat­ion. Tuesday 9.15pm: Panic signal received from premises in Nelson Street. Owner reported items looted. SAPS was alerted. Tuesday 9.28pm: Suspect was apprehende­d after forcing open a gate at the back of a premises in Van der Riet Street. SAPS case is under investigat­ion.

Wednesday 1.26am:Two

suspects found with truck battery in bag in Campbell Street. Suspects were unable to account for it and were handed over to the police.

Wednesday 12.09am:Panic

signal was received from a premises in Hockley Road. A garage door was found forced open but nothing was reported stolen.

Thursday 8.11pm:Suspects

carrying gas bottle in Wharf Street apprehende­d by Multi Security. Suspects handed over to police.

Friday 1.22am: One suspect apprehende­d at business in Princess Avenue following reports of intruders on the premises. One suspect was apprehende­d after a thorough search of the premises and surroundin­g area.

Friday 2.55am: Ambulance was requested at a premises in Fairlie Road. One person was treated and taken to the Port Alfred Hospital.

Saturday 1.25am: Shopliftin­g reported at premises in Masonic Street after a technical member of Multi Security arrested a person. The suspect was handed over to

the SAPS.

Saturday 2.40am: A response vehicle was dispatched to a premises in Southwell Road after reports of an accident. It is alleged the driver, who fled, was under the influence of alcohol.

Saturday 2.43am

A fire was reported near the hospital grounds in Southwell Road. A tree had been set alight and the fire department was dispatched to extinguish it.

Sunday 9.50am

A break-in was reported at a premises in Beach Road. No case was opened.
