Nikita Olivier won a silver medal in the Inter-schools’ grade 12 competitio­n with a personal best of 283/300.

Senior Tennis Tour to Gqeberha October 13-14.

Unfortunat­ely, rain washed out the matches vs Alexander Road. The first and U15 teams played a fun tournament at the Victoria Park club courts on Saturday. The winner of the boys’ section was Reinhardt le Roux with 21 games; runner up was Onwabile Bobo with 19 games.

The girls’ winner was Jadelyn Shuman with 21 games, runner-up Scarlett Tweedie with 17 games. U 15 boys’ winner was Kyle Hulley with 10 games, Runners-up, Lilitha Gobane, Henry Oosthuisen and Ziyaad Raman all on nine games.

Debating: Merrifield Debating Competitio­n on Saturday October 14:

Esona Ngceshe, senior debater was on the winning side in both his debates. Junior debater, Amahle Zulu also won both of her debates and was named a best speaker. Elijah Gaunt won one of his two debates. Lithemba Tuko was also named a best speaker, winning both of his debates. The topics debated were motions on radical action around environmen­tal issues, parasocial relationsh­ips and regretting the size of bite-size content, such as on Tiktok.

Eastern Cape Summer Games, East London October 13-14

7s rugby Jeremiah Valentine scored two useful tries in the tournament

Table tennis PAHS was represente­d by Lifa Ncanywa, Oyinthando Matthews, Onothando Matthews and Ayavuma Mtana.
