Multi makes its mark
Months of monitoring and hours of staking out perlemoen poachers, high-speed chases and arrests, including of cash-in-transit robbers, setting up emergency plans for the 2010 Soccer World Cup, and collaborations with the UN and US military represented just some of the high-level involvement of Multi Security Services.
Owner Clinton Millard outlined some of the company’s activities at the end of a sponsored golf day at the Royal Port Alfred Golf Club recently.
“Thirty years ago, a strong foundation was built by my dad and mom, Mike and Lyn Millard, and Francois de Klerk,” Millard told clients and guests during a relaxed gathering at the end of a good day’s golf,” he said.
“Building on this, Multi has grown a name for being the most proactive and aggressive security company in the Eastern Cape.
“We got this reputation for not only what you see at face value, but what we do behind the scenes.”
“Multi goes the extra mile and as one of our clients told me way beyond our job description.”
Millard said while residential, commercial and industrial crime was increasing, Multi’s promise to its clients was that it would continue to be the leader in fighting crime in the Eastern Cape.
Multi was the only company in the area registered with the South African Intruder Detection Services Association (Saidsa) and also the only company registered to carry fire arms, Millard said.
He acknowledged the company’s valuable partnerships with security and communications equipment supplier Elvey, and AgriEC, “who allowed us to work with them in bringing one of the most important crime-fighting tools to our area, the licence plate recognition [LPR] camera network”, as well as EDGE insurance services.
Most important of all, Millard said, were Multi’s clients.
