Good catches despite rain
Nine different species caught on day
The fifth round of the Pick n Pay Claude Pittaway Round Robin took place on December 9 on East Beach.
Despite the rain, there were some good catches and nine different species of fish were caught, totalling 85 fish with a total weight of 96.6kg.
Biggest in the species were as follows:
Dusky kob Garry Willows 9.02kg; bronze bream Jaoa Felizardo 1.52kg; white steenbras Mark Coetzee/Andrew duToit 0.89kg; poensie John Tarr 0.70kg; blacktail NatasshaVivier 0.75kg; galjoen Deon Marais 2.28kg; eeltail barbel Brendan Marais 1.26kg; spotted grunter Garry Willows 1.05kg; Cape stumpnose Dave Kemp 0.81kg.
Top angler for the day went to Garry Willows with 12.83kg, top lady was NatasshaVivier 3.38kg, top master was Deon Marais 9.95kg and top grand master Rodney Yendall with 7.85kg, top U16 Joshua Burgess with 2.6kg. Catch of the day went to Garry Willows for his dusky kob of 9.02kg.
