Kelly steals the show
Kelly Khumalo suprised many people when she arrived at the Feather Awards last night. Looking very sombre, Khumalo posed on the red carpet.
Up until now, the Asine singer has kept a low profile since her boyfriend, Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa, was shot and killed in Vosloorus two weeks ago.
In her first public appearance since the incident, she presented the Role Model of the Year award to the winner, Selimathunzi presenter Zizo Beda.
Khumalo was earlier seen chatting away happily with friends before the awards began.
This is not the first time she stole the show at the Feather Awards. Last year after months of speculation about her relationship with Meyiwa, the singer showed off her baby bump telling reporters she was expecting the goalkeeper’s baby.
It was no different this year as everyone wanted a piece of her, with guests even lining up for “selfies”. Asked if she was coping, Khumalo said: “I’m still trying to come to terms with what happened. I’m also trying to move on.”
