Lots at stake for Liverpool at the Bridge

-

The title may have been claimed by Chelsea, but there is still something to play for in this weekend’s Premier League fi xtures especially for Liverpool as they gear up to travel to this season’s champions.

Things have not gone the way of the Merseyside outfit this season and they’re looking at the prospect of missing out on a place in Europe next season.

The trip to Stamford Bridge is probably an unwelcome one for the embattled Brendon Rodgers and his side are 26/10 to get the better of their hosts on Sunday.

Jose Mourinho’s side are 21/20 and the draw is at 23/10.

Sunday’s other clash sees Manchester City priced at 1/5 to get the better of 10/1 Queens Park Rang- ers, while Arsenal are 3/10 when they host 8/1 Swansea City on Monday evening.

Manchester United have signalled their intent for next season with the signing of Dutch star Memphis Depay this week and they’ll travel to Crystal Palace tomorrow as favourites at 8/10, while their hosts are 33/10.

Everton get the weekend started and are given at 15/20 favourites when they host 37/10 Sunderland, while Stoke are 18/10 against 29/20 Tottenham Hotspur and struggling Newcastle are 15/10 against 18/10 West Bromwich Albion.

Leicester City are 15/10 against 18/10 Southampton, while Aston Villa are 9/10 against 3/1 West Ham and Hull are offered at 9/10 against 3/1 Burnley.

The action on the Formula One circuit revs up after a break and once again it’s Lewis Hamilton who finds himself at the top of bookmaker’s boards ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix.

The Mercedes drive is at 4/10 to claim fourth race victory of the season and is given at 7/20 to be the fastest driver in qualifying.

His team-mate, Nico Rosberg, is next best at 3/1 to take honours at the Catalunya circuit, while Sebastian Vettel, who claimed victory in Malaysia, is at sevens and his Ferrari team-mate Kimi Raikkonen is at 9/1.

The Sevens World Series also resumes this weekend as the action moves on to Glasgow and it’s Fiji and New Zealand who share joint-favouritism at 2/1 to claim victory in this leg.

The Blitzbokke are next best at 22/10, while England are 13/2 and the rest of the sides are offered at relatively long odds.

Looking further ahead and the prices available on the riders in this year’s renewal of the Tour de France and it’s Britain’s Chris Froome who tops the boards at a price of 9/4.
