VACCINATIO­NS: MEASLES AND POLIO, PLUS DEWORMING, VITAMINS, NUTRITIONA­L SCREENING

Department aims at children between ages of six months, 59 months.

The Ekurhuleni Metro will take part in a mass immunisati­on campaign against measles and polio from September 12 to 30. The national department of health plans to conduct an integrated measles and polio campaign with the aim of achieving at least 95% measles vaccine coverage in children aged six months to 59 months and 90% oral polio vaccine coverage of newborns to 59-month-old children.

The City of Ekurhuleni will take part in the campaign that will be carried out at all primary healthcare facilities.

Vaccinatio­ns will be conducted in two rounds: from September 12 to 30, with the second phase from October 31 to November 11.
