Bonang brings glam to Pretoria

Whole family can meet ‘Queen B’ while shopping for top brands.

Menlyn Park Shopping Centre offers everything under one roof, giving shoppers and their families the ultimate shopping experience.

The centre’s tenant mix is spread over 500 stores and includes high-end international and local brands, such as H&M, Zara and Poetry, as well as South African favourites, such as Dis-Chem Pharmacies and Checkers Hyper.

The centre offers a range of restaurants to choose from.

“Our outdoor piazza, Central Park, is a wonderful place for the whole family to enjoy live entertainment and alfresco dining,” says Olive Ndebele, general manager of the shopping centre.

Located just off the N1 highway, the centre is easily accessible from Johannesburg and the rest of Gauteng, as well as Limpopo, North West and Mpumalanga. The Gautrain bus station is opposite the centre, with buses travelling regularly to the Hatfield Gautrain station. The centre’s 8 000 parking bays include VIP and disabled parking, as well as dedicated bays for parents with children.

“We’ve worked hard to make every step of your visit to the centre easy and convenient,” says Ndebele.

A recent phased redevelopment that cost R2.5 billion has positioned Menlyn Park as the leading regional shopping centre on the African continent.

“The redevelopment saw the centre introduce a fashion wing, featuring a mix of both international and local fashion brands, while Grocery Avenue makes stocking up on basics – and a few luxuries – a breeze,” says Ndebele.

On Saturday 11 March, the centre, together with Day Night Promotions, will present the #SummerLovingExperience.

Shoppers can look forward to a meet-and-greet with special guest Bonang “Queen B” Matheba, pictured. The radio and TV personality will also be offering her fans a chance to enter a competition.

“We’re so thrilled to be hosting Bonang. She symbolises what Menlyn Park Shopping Centre stands for,” says Ndebele.

Matheba has been named SA Style Icon of the Year (SA Style Awards 2015), Digital Influencer of the Year (Channel 24 Social Media Awards 2015), Most Glamourous South African Celebrity (Glamour magazine 2014), and African Woman of the Year (New African magazine 2015).

Matheba will be bringing her #SummerLovingExperience competition to the shopping centre.

Six people and their partners can win an all-expenses-paid three-night stay at Sun City, from March 24 to March27.

Winners, together with Bonang, will attend the glitzy Miss SA pageant being held at the leisure resort on that very weekend.
