Wits, Sundowns match looks a thriller

The clash of the weekend sees logleaders Bidvest Wits visit champions Mamelodi Sundowns in a game certain to have a significant influence on this season’s title race.

Wits are five points clear of their rivals, but Sundowns have three matches in hand. This is sure to be a tight game and the preference is for a draw here but any result seems possible. M1: Bloemfontein Celtic (12th) v Platinum Stars (14th): Both teams are struggling. Celtic may just hold the advantage, given they play at home. Add the draw to the home win. Team A/Draw M2: Orlando Pirates (10th) v Polokwane City (6th): With a new man Swede Kjell Jonevret in charge, and an encouraging comeback last weekend at Cape Town City in their 2-2 draw, Pirates will be the outright selection. M3: Guingamp v Monaco (French Ligue One): Log-leaders Monaco would be a banker but they played a gruelling game in midweek away at Manchester City in the Champions League. Guingamp is not easy to beat at home, so add the draw to the away win. Draw/Team B M4: Mamelodi Sundowns v Bidvest Wits: Team A/Draw. In bigger permutations go with all three results. M5: Ajax Cape Town (11th) v Kaizer Chiefs (2nd): Chiefs won their last five league games and must be fancied to make it No 6. Err on the side of caution and add the draw to a Chiefs victory. Draw/Team B M6: Highlands Park (15th) v SuperSport United (3rd): SuperSport look a likely banke.Consider adding the draw to the away win as Highlands are going to scrap for every point and do not have a bad home record.
