On the night astronomer Vincent Nettmann gives you insight into a 15 billion lightyear journey. Enjoy large aperture telescope viewing and a laser guided binocular tour at your leisure. Our deep southern skies
When: May 27 Cost: R210 for children, R395 for adults Did you know two-thirds of all the stars we can see from earth are concentrated in the southern region of the sky. On a perfect moonless evening, large telescopes reveal the delicate structures of far away objects such as the sparkling stars in the colourful Jewel Box cluster. You can also observe massive clouds of dust and gas in the Eta-Carina nebula,a birthplace of stars. On the evening join Nettmann, for an informative dinner talk, illustrated with spectacular astrophoto images. Bring own binoculars.
