BLOCKBUSTERS BACK: SEASONED TEAM

-

Great shows get a bumper weekend encore.

After highly successful seasons of both their hit shows The Full Morty and Live Jukebox and the demand to bring the shows back, Ginger Cube Productions are doing just that. Audiences will get a double dose of fun over one weekend with the re-staging of both shows – for one night only – on Friday March 31 (The Full Morty) and Saturday 1 April (Live Jukebox) at The Fringe Theatre, Joburg Theatre. Shows start at 8pm.

Join critically acclaimed theatre actor, TV actor, madly talented vocalist and professional shop talker, Mortimer Williams, as he discovers the unchartered territory which fascinates us all: the mind of the South African male.

Stand-up comedy meets cabaret in this hilarious show, as Morty takes us through stories and songs which demonstrate just what it is that makes the SA male tick, with a few surprises along the way! From testosterone to toilet time, this one-man adventure has it all!

Morty will reveal all, literally and figuratively, although it might not be the way you think! Morty is the perfect combination

of talent, charisma and devilish naughtiness to provide the perfect evening of entertainment for guys and girls of all ages.

The showy opened in April 2015 and has exploded onto the SA theatre scene since then, playing two seasons at the Joburg Theatre and two sell-out shows at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown in 2015 and 2016.

Live Jukebox, the only live musical game show in the country made its debut at the 2016 National Arts Festival. Mortimer Williams (of Skeem Saam fame) and theatre personality Kristy Suttner come together for this musical rollercoaster that gets audiences tapping their feet and bopping in the aisles. Saranti Reeders.

So how does it work?

Remember the TV game shows Liriekeraai and Noot vir Noot? What about Don’t Forget the Lyrics or Whose Line is it Anyway?

Live Jukebox is a musical game show where the audience calls the shots.

The audience selects the genre for each game, such as pop, rock, local and decades 60s through 90s and the fun and games never stop until it ends.
