Doctor: Wiggins drug was legal

– The doctor at the centre of a doping rules row involving former British cyclist Bradley Wiggins has insisted he gave the multiple Olympic champion a legal decongestant.

UK Anti-Doping is investigating what was in the contents of an infamous ‘‘jiffy bag’’ sent to Richard Freeman at the end of the 2011 Criterium du Dauphine.

Freeman, the then Team Sky doctor, said the package contained the legal decongestant Fluimucil. – AFP
