Leaky defence worry for Bulls

Bulls defence coach Pine Pienaar is confident his embattled charges can sort out their leaky defence before taking on the rampant Chiefs in a Super Rugby match in Hamilton on Saturday.
The Bulls’ defence was particularly jittery against the Blues last weekend, conceding six tries, which means they have now had their line breached 17 times in four Super Rugby games.
“But I’m not happy with the defence, to concede six tries is not acceptable and we will work hard on it this week because we will be tested there by the Chiefs,’’ said Pienaar. “But we’re going to work hard to rectify that and there’s definitely no lack of effort or commitment from the players, they want to fix it.”
Wing Travis Ismaiel echoed the words of the defence coach when he spoke of the team’s determination to mend the errors.
“Obviously we know the pressure is on and we just want to try and fix everything and try and put together a good performance this weekend,” Ismaiel said.
