School holidays come alive at Carnival City with feast of some of world’s best performers.

Adecade since its last sellout tour to South Africa, the Great Moscow Circus returns to Gauteng just in time for the school holidays. Carnival City’s Big Top Arena hosts this sensational show, which runs until Sunday.

The thrilling spectacular features a myriad of circus superstars from around the world performing awe-inspiring acts that will have audiences on the edges of their seats.

With the funniest clowns, most daring acrobats, death-defying daredevils, aerial artists, balancers, jugglers and so much more, all under the mighty Great Moscow Circus banner.

The Great Moscow Circus is awesome family entertainment that combines all the fun of a traditional circus with the skill and daring of modern circus heroes.

Animal lovers will be delighted the Great Moscow Circus contains no animal acts.

“We are excited to announce that the Great Moscow Circus has returned to Gauteng by popular demand during the holidays,” says Michelle Smith, marketing manager at Carnival City.

The Great Moscow Circus first toured South Africa 10 years ago and entertained audiences on two successive tours selling more than 650 000 tickets.

“We have no doubt that this season in our Big Top Arena will follow this tremendous success,” adds Smith.

Every great circus must have a ringmaster and the Great Moscow Circus has one of the best in Stanislav Kniazkov, a graduate of the famed Moscow City School of Circus Arts.

“Stas” is an accomplished juggler, a very funny comic and a warm and welcoming traditional ringmaster.

He will welcome audiences to two hours of fabulous entertainment.

Featuring 16 international megastar acts, including the best from Russia and the cream of other international circus acts, the Great Moscow Circus brings with it more than 100 tons of equipment.

It will perform a wide variety of favourite circus acts, supported by a live band in Carnival City’s state-of-the-art Big Top Arena.

Kniazkov comes to SA fresh from a US season with Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey where, once again, he was an audience favourite.

“Stas” will have a huge supporting cast for all the acts.

The Great Moscow Circus is brought to South Africa by Theatre Tours International, which has brought to this country shows of the calibre of the St Petersburg Ballet Theatre, which played to sellout houses and earned rave reviews the world over.
