Max Zorin has a view to a Newmarket victory

- MAKE MAGIC WITH MORRICE

– MAX ZORIN, named after the German villain played by Christopher Walken in the James Bond movie A View To A Kill, can be the star of Day 1 of the Craven meeting at Newmarket.

The equine Max Zorin has done particularly well through the winter and is tastily priced for an Eachway speculation in the bet365 Feilden Stakes.

Syndicate that last year named its horses after characters from the James Bond books penned by Ian Fleming, Max Zorin posted just one success in his juvenile season but kept smart company throughout. Strictly on the book he needs to improve to win this, but with all runners returning from a lengthy break they are now part of a whole new ball game.

I fancy Andrew Balding's colt to illustrate his close season improvement.

Plenty of money went west when LETHAL LUNCH flopped on his debut at Windsor last week leaving the colt's trainer Richard Hannon somewhat perplexed. That reverse should ensure plenty are preferred to him in the market for the Montaz Restaurant EBF Stallions Novice Stakes over 1000m.

Hannon has put some further strong work into Lethal Lunch since Windsor and it might be unwise to underestimate his claims under Ryan Moore.

The benefit of a race is worth a length or two to any juvenile at this stage of the season and this time around the Hannon colt will know his job.

VIBRANT CHORDS represents a yard whose runners have been thin on the ground but the Henry Candy-trained gelding can put his best foot forward in the Quay Mill Hotel & Spa Handicap.
