Park Village Auction’s next commercial vehicle auction is set to take place on Thursday and will showcase a large collection of genuine bank repossessed trucks, trailers, earthmoving and agricultural equipment. Commenting on the new vehicle sales statistics reported by the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa (Naamsa) last month, PVA’s LeRoy Augustyn believes the sharp decline in aggregate year-on-year sales is indicative of a market that is preparing for uncertain times.

“Buyers will exercise prudence and actively seek out ways to get the most bang for their buck.”

Augustyn expects a good showing at the upcoming auction which “represents an attractive alternative for acquiring affordable, quality second-hand vehicles and equipment”.

Buyers across the spectrum can expect to find rigid trucks and truck tractors from manufacturers such as Freightliner, Hino, International, Isuzu, Iveco, Mercedes Benz, Mitsubishi Fuso, Nissan, Scania, Tata, Toyota Dyna, and Volvo, as well as various MAN TGA and TGS models on offer.

There will also be a selection of trailers and earth moving equipment on the block, comprising flat deck link trailers, SA Truck Bodies, Henred Fruehauf, Afrit and Motor Trail flat deck, side tippers, Tautliner trailers, skidsteer loaders, excavators and backhoe loaders.
