Serero leaves Ajax for Vitesse

Midfielder Thulani Serero (above) yesterday completed a move to Dutch Eredivise side Vitesse Arnhem.

The 27-year-old has signed a three-year deal with Vitesse, ending speculation about his future, after Ajax Amsterdam opted not to renew his contract.

The Bafana star joined Ajax Amsterdam in 2011 from Ajax Cape Town, and helped the Dutch giants win the Eredivisie title three years in a row between 2011 and 2014. This season, however, Serero was not even included in Ajax’s first team squad. – Jonty Mark
