US gets tough over money laundering

– The Justice Department took legal action to recover about $540 million (R6.9 billion) in assets that were allegedly stolen through a wealth fund established by Malaysia’s prime minister, Najib Razak,including a Picasso painting that was given to actor Leonardo DiCaprio.

The US claims the fund was used to launder money.
