M1 Free State XV v Sharks XV: These two teams are going well in the Central Supersport Challenge Pool, but the loser here will be in danger of missing out on the quarter-finals. The Sharks drew last weekend with Griquas in Kimberley and that will give them some sort of confidence. The Cheetahs have momentum and home-ground advantage, so are the team to beat. M2 Pumas v Valke: The Pumas should win well. They were not too impressive when beating the Welwitschias in Windhoek last weekend, but the Valke are not any better. The Pumas look a potential banker. M3 South Africa v France: Coach Alister Coetzee promised that 2017 would be better for the Springboks and so far he has delivered on that promise. There is so much more security in the way they are performing. Nobody is saying they can compete with New Zealand yet, but they can take another step in the right direction if they beat France again. M4 Argentina v Georgia: Georgia have improved but have travelled the world to get to Argentina while the hosts have been in town for weeks. Argentina’s two losses to England were disappointing, but they will take some solace out of those performances in that they have made giant strides again. They should beat Georgia. M5 SWD Eagles v Western Province: The Eagles are bottom in the south division while Province are top of the log and unbeaten. That trend should continue and the away team are strongly fancied to march on into the knock-out phase with extra confidence.
