Truck driver critically injured

A 30-year-old man was critically injured when the truck he was driving was involved in a serious crash on the corner of William Nicol and Kingfisher Drive, in Fourways, yesterday morning.

According to Netcare spokesperson Nick Dollman, the large flatbed truck crashed through a thick stone wall and then down into the car park area below, leaving the driver trapped in the wrecked cab.

Emergency services had to use specialised equipment to free him from the truck. – Citizen reporter
