Butchery under the hammer
POSITION: LOCATED IN A PRIME RETAIL SPOT IN GREENHILLS IN RANDFONTEIN
There are petrol stations, ATMs, a liquor market and many other necessity services nearby, making this a very attractive location for a prospective buyer.
Park Village Auctions (PVA) will soon make available two commercial properties, assets and equipment stemming from the liquidation of a well-established butchery in Greenhills, Randfontein. That’s the word from PVA’s LeRoy Augustyn, who says that the sale should attract a multitude of commercial investors, “from bidders seeking to purchase the butchery as a going concern, to those interested in repurposing the available retail space”.
“The equipment on offer is of a specialised nature and should appeal to those in the meat processing industry who wish to increase their asset count at a fair price.”
The properties in question neighbour each other, sharing adequate onsite parking, and occupy a “prominent position for retail endeavours” with petrol stations, ATMs, Lords Liquor Market and many necessity services nearby.
The auction will commence at 11am on Wednesday, August 30 with the sale of number 13, Kameel Street, a street front shop comprising a large retail area, two walk-in cold rooms, a meat processing area, a storeroom, an office, ablution facilities and a carport. The stand measures 695m2.
Directly thereafter follows the sale of number 15, comprising cloakrooms, ablution facilities, a restroom, a storeroom and retail outlets – two of which are fitted with walk-in cold rooms – while the remaining shop previously served as a supermarket and features an administration area and kitchenette.
Following the auction of the properties, movable assets and equipment will be sold.
Items under this banner include display stands, galvanised shelving, scales, carcass scales, crown biltong slicers, Okto bandsaws, Crown and Freddy Hirsch mincers, Bizerba tenderisers, a Viking cooker, double bowl pot sinks, assorted stainless steel smokers and preparation tables, a multi-needle meat injector, sausage fillers, upright meat display fridges, chest freezers, cold rooms and a 150 kVA mobile generator.
Additional assets include cash registers, point of sale counters and assorted office equipment.
Viewing will take place the day before the auction, onsite, from 9am to 4pm.
