– It’s a Hari Raya public holiday in Singapore today and a bumper 10-race standalone meeting at Kranji is on offer for punters.

Some tricky early races early suggest we should keep an eye

on the tote for stable support or punter confidence but later in the day, Race 9, a Class 3 Poly sprint over 1000m looks a beauty.

WEBSTER, with two impressive wins from just three starts probably headlines the capacity field but, while it would be tempting to put the progressive four-year-old down as a special, the race has depth and includes another three last-time winners.

Of those, KRATOS resumed with a solid Class 4 victory to take his tally to two wins and four placings from seven starts and, given all his runs have been over 1000m, obviously goes super over this trip and is the testing material.

MR LUCK with five Poly wins also comes under consideration while POLE PARADISE and SPLINTER are both in form, more than handle the Poly, and could win without surprising.

Elsewhere on the card there looks to be plenty of value about with KATE’S KEEPER very much appreciating the step up to 1800m in Class 4 Company in Race 4 while JUSTICE FIRST could knock in his first Singapore win with blinkers over 1200m on the Poly, also in Class 4 (Race 6).

Remember it’s a day meeting and let’s hope we find a few holiday winners! The first race is due off at 6.50am (South African time) and the last at 11.45am.
