There is a wide variety of items, including vintage and man cave goods.

Dunnes Africa Auctioneer­s is holding its antiques and collectabl­es auction tomorrow at 10am. The auction will start as usual with jewelery, followed by collectabl­es, paintings and furniture. The venue for the auction is 76 Maria Street, Fontainebl­eau, Randburg and the auction rooms are full of goods.

On the jewellery side, there will be a selection of vintage, 9ct and 18ct gold and silver rings, bracelets and necklaces plus a selection of watches (Tag Heuer, Citizen, etc).

Jewellery is followed by the collectabl­es, among which will be a wide variety of items including a selection of vintage and man cave goods including a 24 piece Royal Albert tea set, a number of Royal Doulton character jugs, figurines and a dinner service, a number of silver pieces (including an early Victorian two-handled fruit bowl from 1837) and a hallmarked silver Startled Yearling statue (Geoffrey Snell) plus other pieces of silver, mid 20th century judge’s wig with case, mantle and wall clocks, SAR dining room carriage lamps, plus a number of books on art and first editions, as well as many more items of interest.

Various works of art by both local and internatio­nal artists – including signed and inscribed photograph­s by Obie Oberholzer, Paul Bosman, Marie Strauss, D Bianchina, Gina Hall – and various other pieces of artwork, including vintage ads and man cave pictures, are up for grabs.

There is a large selection of antique, contempora­ry and retro furniture like a stinkwood diningroom table and six ladder back chairs with sideboard, art deco burr walnut dressing table with long centre mirror, Victorian mahogany chiffonier, 70s mahogany dressing table with butterfly mirrors, mahogany display cabinet, two vintage Ball chairs, two 19th century grandfathe­r clocks in need of restoratio­n and more pieces of furniture, as well as a number of Persian carpets.
