Anyone who has ever taken a ride in an elevator is familiar with that awkward feeling you get the moment those steel doors close and that rush of annoyance which comes with the little light flashing at every other floor but yours.

For Jeffery Cage (played by award-winning actor Charlie Sheen), Eve (played by Gina Ger- shon), Eddie (played by Luis Guzman), Tina (played by Olga Fonda) and Michael (played by comedian and actor Wood Harris), the elevator ride they take down the World Trade Centre’s Twin Towers in New York on September 11, 2001 forever changes their lives.

In 9/11, what starts out as a blissful autumn morning in Manhattan, New York, ends up in a battle for survival for an entire country after a devastating terrorist attack.

Devoted father Michael was meant to celebrate his daughter’s birthday on that fateful day.

For cosmopolitan mistress Tina, the day would be the one she tells her executive silver-fox sugar daddy it was over between them.

For Eve, suburban mother and wife to billionaire Jeffery Cage, the day would bring an end to their stifling marriage.

For these individuals, life seemed pretty normal as they started their day.

The terror attack changes everything and the group is left to try and devise a means of escape as the Twin Towers burn around them.

The movie is based on Patrick James Carson’s award-winning play, Elevator.

It will keep you on the edge of your seat as you find yourself lost among the characters, willing them to safety.
