Hostage family free from Taliban

– A North American family that had been held hostage by the Afghan Taliban has been freed yesterday following an operation in Pakistan.

“Pak Army recovered five Western hostages including one Canadian, his US wife and their three children from terrorist custody” in an operation in Kurram tribal district, the army said in a statement. –
