Highlight will be eight lap handicap pursuit race around Kyalami.

The BMW Car Club will run its annual Track and Race Day at Kyalami this Saturday, sponsored by Bridgestone, Auto Bavaria Midrand and Shell Helix. The highlight of the day should be the club’s Bridgestone race series putting on an eight-lap exhibition race in a handicap pursuit format.

The slowest car will start first and the quickest last, with the final four laps bound to produce really close, spectacular action. Visitors will be able to see the latest BMWs on display from Auto Bavaria Midrand or purchase BMW Lifestyle and BMW Car Club clothing.

drivers.

Those feeling adventurous can purchase a hot lap around Kyalami with a professional driver at R200. You must be over the age of 12 and preferably bring your own crash helmet.

Ladies may prefer going on hot laps with lady racer Monica Van Der Westhuizen.

That experience will, at R200, include a set of Pink Valve Caps and some branded clothing.

All funds raised will go to Pink- Drive, a Bridgestone initiative geared towards breast cancer awareness and treatment.

The Gaming Network will also be on board, offering runs on their racing simulator, with the fastest on the day receiving R500.

The event will kick off at 7.30am and admission to Kyalami will be free of charge.
