Who says healthy food can’t look and taste fantastic?

Anyone who has tried to lose weight or tone up their body will probably agree that the hardest part of any body transformation journey is having to give up all the good things life presents on a plate or in a takeaway box.

You always hear “80 % of the workout starts in the kitchen and the rest is in the gym” from the jocks who love to show off their perfectly defined abs and sculpted arms.

Yet none of them tell you how and what to eat.

How about the fact that every summer there is a new diet phenomenon which takes the world by storm and is endorsed by a certain famous celebrity who probably got her body by going under the knife.

Until about three months ago, I was you, and even though I put extra hours in the gym, a flat tummy was beyond my reach.

While browsing through my Facebook page, I stumbled on a product which has helped me see the weight drop around my abdominal area and the best part is, it tastes absolutely delicious.

Servd Fresh is a unique, healthy lifestyle eating programme which helps reduce the cravings for unhealthy food and looks as appetising as gourmet food prepared by a top chef.

A friend of mine, Rorisang Setlogelo, had taken up a healthy eating challenge and had posted a video of her success. Because I knew her and what her struggles were, when she told me how amazing the product was I had no choice but try it myself.

I reached out to the people on Facebook and was later introduced to Bridget van As, who explained in detail that as a healthy lifestyle company, Servd Fresh is a diet delivery service that started in October 2009.

The idea was to create a service that could facilitate the convenience of healthier tasting food options that are delivered directly to your door.

The service is aimed at those who wish to live a healthy lifestyle but simply do not have the time to cook, as well as for those who struggle with their weight and are looking to lose a few kilogrammes.

The meal options come in two main packages – a calorie-controlled option where all the meals are prepared low fat or low GI. Neither of the calorie-controlled meal servings are more than 300 calories per 300g.

The other option is based on the low-fat, high-fat principle and offers a banting-friendly range.
