Bloemfontein Celtic coach Veselin Jelusic (left) says they don’t feel any pressure ahead of their Telkom Knockout Cup semifinal clash with Polokwane City at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday.

Instead, the Serb believes with the club having endured a bad spell last season, nobody had high expectations, which has made things quite easy.

“Our intention is to try to go into every competition as far as we can, we don’t have any pressure. Our approach is just to try to get everything from any game. So with this approach we have a good chance of improving from last season,” said the Celtic coach.

The Serb knows his players won’t have it easy, but he believes they will fight hard.

“Polokwane City are a good side and they have shown it in the last two games. We know it won’t be an easy game, but I believe in my players and our teamwork.”

Celtic have been in fine form, which also sees them in fourth place after 10 games. Jelusic, however, believes there is still a lot of work that needs to be done.

“We have a lot of time during our training to improve on goal-scoring and we are aware of our weaknesses,” he added.

“I think there are several reasons that we’ve had some good results. One of them is our teamwork. The second one is that this season, we have new players and we are stronger and more competitive.

“The third one is what we have been doing at training, trying to improve every aspect of our game – technical, tactical, physical and psychological. The fourth one is the strategic approach and to have a good balance regarding the qualities of our players.”
