For the Serb his players are ‘the best in the world’.

Orlando Pirates failure to find the back of the net gives head coach Milutin Sredojevic headaches and he wants his players to adopt the culture of scoring goals.

This comes after the Buccaneers played to a goalless stalemate against Golden Arrows despite creating many scoring opportunities and dominating most of the game in an Absa Premiership midweek clash at the Orlando Stadium.

“Instead of them worrying about the pressure of getting the result‚ I have really tried to get them to concentrate on practical matters and standards,” said the Bucs mentor.

“I want them to have a habit of scoring‚ a culture of scoring and automation with scoring.”

The draw against Arrows saw the Buccaneers drop to eighth place on the league table with 15 points after 11 matches having registered only three wins against six draws and two defeats in the process.

The Buccaneers’ previous game also resulted in the team going seven games without a victory in all competitions. Sredojevic, however, still maintains his charges will soon get things right and he believes his players are the “best in the world”.

“I am a person who never gives up, because I believe in our players, the work we are doing and I believe we shall reach the point where we start scoring,” the former Uganda national team coach added.

“For me, my players are the best players in the world at present. I highly respect them and I believe they have everything that it takes to play for this badge.”

Going into this match, Pirates are expected to welcome back goalkeeper Wayne Sandilands who missed the previous game due to injury, while midfielder Thamsanqa Sangweni might also mark his return having been out since the opening match of the season.

Celtic, meanwhile, have endured quite a good start in their opening 10 league games. Veselin Jelusic’s charges occupy fourth place in the league table with 16 points.
