Ferraris to prove the master at Happy Valley

– David Ferraris has a couple of great chances on the Happy Valley card this week and bids to land a hat trick of wins with London Master who is simply thriving this season.

The key difference to this galloper might well be a throat operation this year and Ferraris has the son of Commands in a rich vein of form.

He showed his win down the straight course was no fluke with a demolition of his rivals at Happy Valley last time beating subsequent winner, Mr Kool.

Although the handicapper has issued a 4.5kg penalty for his last win, he remains in the same class and from a good draw should enjoy the run of the race under Karis Teetan.

He is a good Win bet, and perhaps an Exacta can be taken as well with Royal Chocolate making the most appeal. He has only had two career starts including a sound second over the course and distance a month ago. He was run down late by subsequent winner Sacred Ibis and with natural

Ferraris also has a superb chance to land the fifth event, The Kowloon City Handicap, with Showing Character who was an eye-catching run on his seasonal return when finishing second to California Aspar over 1200m at Happy Valley last week.

Ferraris has opted to back him up a week later and considering he draws to get the run of the race, has to be given a strong chance to go one better. He can be used a banker in a Trifecta, as there could be some value runners who have sound claims in this event, including Confucius Spirit, Funny Buddies, Noble De Boy and Cheerfuljet.

Tony Millard and Dougie Whyte team up again with last start winner Cloud Nine in the third event.

He might well appreciate the move up to 2200m and although was superbly rated by Whyte on his last outing, he might be able to control the race from the front once again. He is fit and well and appears relatively well treated in the handicap for his last victory and can win again.

And one of the more exciting sprinting prospects who has been unveiled this season, Mega Heart, returns to the scene of his incredible win and competes in the seventh event.

This Caspar Fownes-trainer galloper unleashed a scintillating turn-of-foot to score a month ago and the trainer has revealed he believes this fellow has a lot more upside. He will be one of the shorter-priced runners on the night, but deservedly so.

?? ?? GREAT CHANCES. Trainer David Ferraris could be a very happy man if a promised good day’s racing at Happy Valley comes true.
